Hi there! I’m Dr. Kathryn Buchanan, a behavioural scientist with over 15 years’ experience in the research domain.

I use both quantitative and qualitative methods to understand the how and why of human behaviour. From conception through to execution and dissemination, I’ve got your research needs covered.

Over the years I have worked with SME’s, non-profits, local county councils and universities – each time delivering high calibre research with actionable and impactful insights.

Projects I’ve worked on have included evaluating the efficacy of behavioural interventions, gauging public perception of government policy, and testing usability and user experience insights.

My research has been used by companies to increase user engagement and enhance consumer experience. It has also shaped government policy and ignited debates amongst journalists, and has been picked up by specialist magazines featuring psychological content to the general public.

I have published my work in internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, The Journal of Environmental Psychology and PloS ONE.

My research has also received considerable media interest, featuring in over 150 news stories, including the Washington Post, The Independent and BBC Radio 4.

Finally, as a trusted expert, I’ve also been an invited guest on several podcasts and national radio, a speaker at EU consortiums and at industry and academic conferences.
